In this third circular you will find more detailed information regarding the GLOBE Regional Learning Expedition 2015, including the full schedule of the Expedition.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Transportation<\/b><\/p>\n<p>You will be picked up from Tallinn on the morning of August 3 and will be taken to the campsite by bus. (Due to the varying arrival times of delegations, all accompanying coordinators\/teachers will be notified of the specific times via e-mail.)<\/p>\n<p>In case of good weather, there will be one stop along the way to go see the biggest waterfall in Estonia.<\/p>\n<p><strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>What should You bring along?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Estonian weather can be a bit tricky to predict. You might want to check the weather forecast for Estonia before you pack. However, there are a few things we strongly advise everybody to take along:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please bring along a plant identification book in your own language and\/or in English.<\/li>\n<li>A pen or a pencil to write things down.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Clothing suitable for expedition. The expedition will take up half a day and will not be cancelled in case of rain. Sporty clothing is a great option.<\/li>\n<li>An extra pair of shoes, or two, should the first pair get wet from rain. In case the weather promises to be very wet, you could take along a pair of wellingtons\/rubber boots\/rainboots.<\/li>\n<li>Swimming clothes and a beach towel. The lakes by the campsite are wonderful places for swimming. (All students MUST be supervised by their accompanying teacher when going swimming.)<\/li>\n<li>Any special medication you might need.<\/li>\n<li>A smile and an adventurous spirit \ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><strong><\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Schedule<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The GLOBE Regional Learning Expedition 2015 will begin on Monday, August 3. Registration desks are open from 12 o\u2019clock. The event will end on Thursday, August 6 at 14:00. Below you will find the official schedule of activities for the GRLE:<\/p>\n<p><strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><\/td>\n<td>DAY 1 &#8211; INTRODUCTION; INTERCULTURAL DAY<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>8:00<\/td>\n<td rowspan=\"6\">bus from Tallinn to Nelij\u00e4rve for foreign delegates<\/td>\n<td>Day 1 is the introductory day.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>9:00<\/td>\n<td>All participants of GRLE2015 will<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>10:00<\/td>\n<td>arrive at Nelij\u00e4rve, followed by<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>11:00<\/td>\n<td>the opening ceremony and<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>12:00<\/td>\n<td>presentations of delegations.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>13:00<\/td>\n<td>During the course of this day<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>14:00<\/td>\n<td>Lunch<\/td>\n<td>you will meet other participants<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>15:00<\/td>\n<td>Opening ceremony<\/td>\n<td>and get to know who you will be<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>16:00<\/td>\n<td>Country presentations<\/td>\n<td>working with in the following days.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>17:00<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<td>All participants will be assigned<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>18:00<\/td>\n<td>presentation about SMAP<\/td>\n<td>their working groups for the<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>19:00<\/td>\n<td>Dinner<\/td>\n<td>upcoming days.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>20:00<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<td>Don&#8217;t be shy to make new friends<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>21:00<\/td>\n<td>Intercultural evening<\/td>\n<td>at the intercultural evening.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>22:00<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<td>After all, GLOBE friends are for<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>23:00<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<td>life. We&#8217;re all a big family \ud83d\ude42<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong><strong><\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><\/td>\n<td><b>DAY 2<\/b> &#8211; LEARNING<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>8:00<\/td>\n<td>Breakfast<\/td>\n<td>Day 2 is planned for learning new skills<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>9:00<\/td>\n<td rowspan=\"2\">Learning session I<\/td>\n<td>and refreshing old ones.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>10:00<\/td>\n<td>Participants will learn about standard<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>11:00<\/td>\n<td rowspan=\"2\">Learning session II<\/td>\n<td>GLOBE protocols, how to measure data<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>12:00<\/td>\n<td>and how it all relates to the environment.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>13:00<\/td>\n<td>Lunch<\/td>\n<td>The afternoon is for unwinding from all<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>14:00<\/td>\n<td rowspan=\"2\">GLOBE Games<\/td>\n<td>the studying. The assigned groups will<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>15:00<\/td>\n<td>need to work together as a team in the<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>16:00<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<td>GLOBE games which include an array of<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>17:00<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<td>mini-games and tasks. After all the fun,<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>18:00<\/td>\n<td>presentation about satellites, introduction to expedition<\/td>\n<td>you will receive instructions for the<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>19:00<\/td>\n<td>Dinner<\/td>\n<td>expedition day (tomorrow).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>20:00<\/td>\n<td>Practicing role plays<\/td>\n<td>The evening is meant for the groups to<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>21:00<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<td>prepare their role plays.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>22:00<\/td>\n<td>Astronomy evening &#8211;<\/td>\n<td>Before bedtime,we will have a gaze at the<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>23:00<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<td>stars during the astronomic evening.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong><strong><\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><\/td>\n<td><b>DAY 3<\/b> &#8211; EXPEDITION<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>8:00<\/td>\n<td>Breakfast<\/td>\n<td>Day 3 is expedition day. All groups will be<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>9:00<\/td>\n<td>Day on the field &#8211; different measurements<\/td>\n<td>sent out on an expedition, each having<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>10:00<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<td>a different set of objectives. You will have<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>11:00<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<td>the entire morning for completing your<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>12:00<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<td>data collection in the field, and can also<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>13:00<\/td>\n<td>lunch<\/td>\n<td>use a few extra hours in the afternoon.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>14:00<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<td>Groups should also prepare their final<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>15:00<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<td>presentation (PowerPoint) about their<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>16:00<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<td>expedition during the assigned time.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>17:00<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<td>Presentations should include collected<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>18:00<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<td>data and, if possible, pictures of the day.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>19:00<\/td>\n<td>Dinner<\/td>\n<td>The leftover time can be used to practice<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>20:00<\/td>\n<td rowspan=\"2\">Role play\/ Alternative performances<\/td>\n<td>role plays which will be performed after<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>21:00<\/td>\n<td>dinner.
