GLOBE Regional Learning Expedition

Nelijärve, 3.august – 6.august, 2015

 

Kallid GLOBE’i ekspeditsioonil osalejad,

Laagriaeg pole enam kaugel. Siin on väike meelespea sellest, mida kaasa võtta ning kuidas Nelijärvele saada. Lisatud on ka laagri täpne ajakava. Sel aastal on ekspeditsioon rahvusvaheline – oodata on külalisi Lätist, Leedust, Ukrainast, Soomest ja Venemaalt. Lisaks on kohal külalislektorid/juhendajad Ameerika Ühendriikidest ning muidugi ka Eestist.

 

Transport

Kohale saab rongiga nii Tallinnast kui Tartust (peatus Nelijärve asub vaid mõnesaja meetri kaugusel laagripaigast):

Tartu (6:22) -> Nelijärve (8:05)

Nelijärve (14:55) -> Tartu (16:31)

Tallinn (8:50) -> Nelijärve (9:34)

Nelijärve (16:08) – Tallinn (16:52)

 

Tallinnast saab ka bussiga sõita:

Tallinn (10:05) -> Nelijärve (11:09)

Nelijärve (14:25) – Tallinn (15:35)

 

Mida kaasa võtta?

Kuna meie ilmad Eestis on sellised, nagu nad on, siis kindlasti hoidke silm peal ilmateatel. Kaasa soovitame võtta:

  • Vett pidavad jalatsid (võivad olla ka kummikud)
  • Vihmakeebid/vihmakindlad joped sajuse ilma jaoks (vihma korral ekspeditsiooni ei katkestata)
  • Mugavad sportlikud riided maastikul liikumiseks
  • Ujumisriided ja rätik ujumiseks – järved on võrratud kohad ujumiseks. Palume meeles pidada, et ujuma tohib minna AINULT oma õpetaja järelvalve all.
  • Hea tuju ja seiklusvaim

Koolidele – kui on kindla õppesessioonis osalemise ja/või vahendite kohta küsimusi, võtke kindlasti ühendust laagri korraldajatega (kontaktinfo kirja lõpus).

 

Ajakava

Alustame esmaspäeval, 3.augustil kell 12 ning lõpetame neljapäeval, 6.augustil kell 14.00. Siit leiad ka laagri päevakava kirjeldustega.

 

1.PÄEV – sissejuhatus; kultuuriline päev
8:00 1.päev on mõeldud sissejuhatusena.
9:00 Kõik osalejad saabuvad Nelijärvele,l
10:00 pärast mida toimub avatseremoonia ja
11:00 osalevad riigid räägivad GLOBE’i
12:00 tegemistest nende riikides.
13:00 Selle päeva vältel tutvutakse teiste
14:00 Lõunasöök osalejatega ja oma rühmaga, kellega
15:00 Avatseremoonia ootab ees koostöö järgnevate päevade
16:00 Esitlused osalevate riikide poolt jooksul. Kõik osalejad jaotatakse töö-
17:00 rühmadesse eelolevaks ekspeditsiooniks.
18:00 Esitlus SMAP’ist Õhtul toimub kultuuriline õhtu.
19:00 Õhtusöök Ei tasu uute tutvuste loomist karta. GLOBE
20:00 toob kokku sõpru kogu eluks. Me oleme ju
21:00 Kultuuriline õhtu üks suur pere 🙂

2.PÄEV – õppimine
8:00 Hommikusöök 2.päeva eesmärk on uute oskuste õppi-
9:00 Õppesessioon I mine ja vanade meeldetuletamine.
10:00 Osalejad õpivad standardsete GLOBE
11:00 Õppesessioon II protokollide täitmist, kuidas koguda
12:00 andmeid ning nende seost keskkonnaga.
13:00 Lõunasöök Pärastlõuna on mõeldud väikeseks
14:00 GLOBE mängud puhkuseks õppimisest. Rühmadel tuleb
15:00 teha meeskonnatööd GLOBE mängudel,
16:00 mis koosnevad väiksematest eraldiseis-
17:00 vatest ülesannetest. Pärast seda antakse
18:00 Esitlus satelliitidest ja sissejuhatus ekspeditsiooni – Edgar Sepp juhiseid homseks ekspeditsioonipäevaks ja räägitakse satelliitidest.
19:00 Õhtusöök Õhtul peaksid rühmad harjutama oma
20:00 Rollimängude harjutamine rollimänge, mida kantakse ette homme.
21:00 Enne öörahu on võimalus kiigata tähtede
22:00 Astronoomiline õhtu –  Sven-Erik Enno poole koos Sven-Erik Ennoga
23:00 astronoomilisel õhtul.

3.PÄEV – ekspeditsioon
8:00 Hommikusöök 3.päev on ekspeditsioonipäev. Kõik
9:00 Ekspeditsioon ja andmete kogumine rühmad saadetakse juhendajatega
10:00 ekspeditsioonile. Rühmadel on erinevad ülesanded.
11:00 Ennelõunane eesmärk on andmete
12:00 kogumine. Vajadusel võib selleks
13:00 Lõunasöök kasutada ka paar pärastlõunast tundi.
14:00 Rühmad peaksid etteantud ajal (kuni
15:00 õhtusöögini) valmis tegema ka esitluse
16:00 (PowerPointis) oma ekspeditsioonist.
17:00 Esitlus peaks sisaldama kogutud
18:00 andmeid ja võimaluse korral ka pilte
19:00 Õhtusöök päevast. Ülejäänud aega saab kasu-
20:00 Rollimängud tada rollimängude ettevalmistuseks.
21:00 Kasutada võib muusikat jms.
22:00 Disko/Õpetajate õhtu Päev lõpeb taaskord lõbusamalt.
23:00 Õpilastele on kavas tantsuõhtu/disko,
õpetajatele aga traditsiooniline saunaõhtu.

4.PÄEV – kokkuvõtted ja lõpetamine
8:00 Hommikusöök 4.päev laagrist võtab kokku viimase
9:00 Viktoriin kolme päeva tegemised. Pärast
10:00 Rühmade esitlused hommikusööki kogunevad rühmad
11:00 viimaseks omavaheliseks võistluseks
12:00 Lõputseremoonia viktoriini näol. Sellele järgnevad esitlused
13:00 Lõunasöök ekspeditsioonidest (10-15 minutit igale).
14:00 Ning loomulikult on ka lõputseremoonia,
15:00 kus tahame Teid kõiki tänada tulemast.
16:00 Lahkumine Iga GLOBE suveekspeditsioon lõpeb
17:00 mõnusa lõunaga (kus saab ka suu
18:00 koogiga magusaks) enne, kui lehvitame
19:00 üksteisele ja lähme tagasi kodudesse…

NB! Kui teil on olnud pärast 5.07 muudatusi õpilaste nimedes, siis palun täpsustage seda korraldajatega. T-särgid on tellitud 5.07 nimekirja alusel ning muudatuste korral me ei pruugi võimaldada uuele osalejale õiges suuruses särki.

Tuletame meelde – laagris vastutab õpetaja oma kooli õpilaste eest võimalike probleemide korral. Laagri territooriumilt lahkumine on lubatud vaid koos oma õpetajaga (ekspeditsioonipäeval vaid koos ekspeditsioonigrupi juhendajaga).

Kuna koos on rahvusvaheline GLOBE pere, on laagri ametlik keel inglise keel, kuid abi saab kindlasti ka eesti keeles.

GLOBE Regional Learning Expedition

Nelijärve, August 3 – August 6, 2015

 

Dear participants of the GLOBE Regional Learning Expedition 2015,

We are delighted to be welcoming you all here in Estonia in a mere three weeks. In this third circular you will find more detailed information regarding the GLOBE Regional Learning Expedition 2015, including the full schedule of the Expedition.

 

Transportation

You will be picked up from Tallinn on the morning of August 3 and will be taken to the campsite by bus. (Due to the varying arrival times of delegations, all accompanying coordinators/teachers will be notified of the specific times via e-mail.)

In case of good weather, there will be one stop along the way to go see the biggest waterfall in Estonia.

 

What should You bring along?

Estonian weather can be a bit tricky to predict. You might want to check the weather forecast for Estonia before you pack. However, there are a few things we strongly advise everybody to take along:

  • Please bring along a plant identification book in your own language and/or in English.
  • A pen or a pencil to write things down.
  • Clothing suitable for expedition. The expedition will take up half a day and will not be cancelled in case of rain. Sporty clothing is a great option.
  • An extra pair of shoes, or two, should the first pair get wet from rain. In case the weather promises to be very wet, you could take along a pair of wellingtons/rubber boots/rainboots.
  • Swimming clothes and a beach towel. The lakes by the campsite are wonderful places for swimming. (All students MUST be supervised by their accompanying teacher when going swimming.)
  • Any special medication you might need.
  • A smile and an adventurous spirit 🙂

Schedule

The GLOBE Regional Learning Expedition 2015 will begin on Monday, August 3. Registration desks are open from 12 o’clock. The event will end on Thursday, August 6 at 14:00. Below you will find the official schedule of activities for the GRLE:

 

DAY 1 – INTRODUCTION; INTERCULTURAL DAY
8:00 bus from Tallinn to Nelijärve for foreign delegates Day 1 is the introductory day.
9:00 All participants of GRLE2015 will
10:00 arrive at Nelijärve, followed by
11:00 the opening ceremony and
12:00 presentations of delegations.
13:00 During the course of this day
14:00 Lunch you will meet other participants
15:00 Opening ceremony and get to know who you will be
16:00 Country presentations working with in the following days.
17:00 All participants will be assigned
18:00 presentation about SMAP their working groups for the
19:00 Dinner upcoming days.
20:00 Don’t be shy to make new friends
21:00 Intercultural evening at the intercultural evening.
22:00 After all, GLOBE friends are for
23:00 life. We’re all a big family 🙂

DAY 2 – LEARNING
8:00 Breakfast Day 2 is planned for learning new skills
9:00 Learning session I and refreshing old ones.
10:00 Participants will learn about standard
11:00 Learning session II GLOBE protocols, how to measure data
12:00 and how it all relates to the environment.
13:00 Lunch The afternoon is for unwinding from all
14:00 GLOBE Games the studying. The assigned groups will
15:00 need to work together as a team in the
16:00 GLOBE games which include an array of
17:00 mini-games and tasks. After all the fun,
18:00 presentation about satellites, introduction to expedition you will receive instructions for the
19:00 Dinner expedition day (tomorrow).
20:00 Practicing role plays The evening is meant for the groups to
21:00 prepare their role plays.
22:00 Astronomy evening – Before bedtime,we will have a gaze at the
23:00 stars during the astronomic evening.

DAY 3 – EXPEDITION
8:00 Breakfast Day 3 is expedition day. All groups will be
9:00 Day on the field – different measurements sent out on an expedition, each having
10:00 a different set of objectives. You will have
11:00 the entire morning for completing your
12:00 data collection in the field, and can also
13:00 lunch use a few extra hours in the afternoon.
14:00 Groups should also prepare their final
15:00 presentation (PowerPoint) about their
16:00 expedition during the assigned time.
17:00 Presentations should include collected
18:00 data and, if possible, pictures of the day.
19:00 Dinner The leftover time can be used to practice
20:00 Role play/ Alternative performances role plays which will be performed after
21:00 dinner. You can use props, music, etc.
22:00 Disco / Sauna The day ends again with unwinding.
23:00 Students will have a disco/dance evening,
teachers will have a traditional sauna evening.

DAY 4 – CONCLUSIONS AND EVALUATION
8:00 Breakfast The 4th and final day of GRLE2015
9:00 Quiz will wrap up the events of the past
10:00 Presentations three days. After breakfast, groups
11:00 will gather for a final head-to-head
12:00 CLOSING CEREMONY competition in the form of a quiz.
13:00 lunch This is followed by presentations of
14:00 DEPARTURE the expeditions (10-15 minutes each).
15:00 And of course the closing ceremony
16:00 where we thank you all for coming.
17:00 Every GLOBE summer expedition
18:00 ends with a lovely lunch with
19:00 delicious cake before we wave each
20:00 other good-bye and head home.

Please keep in mind that all teachers are responsible for their students in case of the occurrence of problems. Leaving the campsite is only allowed with your accompanying teacher (or with the instructors of your expedition group on the day of the expedition).
